BUILDING REGULATION POLICY DUE TO COVID-19 VIRUS
The Greene County Department of Building Regulation offices are currently closed to the public, for the health and safety of our staff and community. However, we are currently conducting limited operations.
A green drop box has been installed next to our office door. Plans, permit applications, plan review responses and plan revisions may be dropped off Monday thru Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The box will be emptied at the end of each business day. During inclement weather, we recommend you put your plans in a bag of some type. REMEMBER...WE ARE TEMPORARILY RELOCATED INTO OFFICE TRAILERS NEXT TO OUR MAIN BUILDING.
Our staff is available during office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to schedule inspections, return voice mail messages, respond to emails and answer all other questions. Emails can be received at _bldgregspermits@co.greene.oh.us.
THANK YOU AND STAY SAFE & HEALTHY!!
Virtual inspections shall be conducted using the Face Time App through Apple products, i.e. I-Phone or I-Pad or with Android products by downloading the Google Duo App.
The inspectors have the right to cancel or reschedule the inspection request if not appropriate.
Inspection results will be provided via email, similar to normal operations. The inspectors will call the contractors after 8:00 a.m. to schedule an inspection time.
Mission Critical Projects: Inspections such as hospitals, nursing homes, medical offices, grocery stores, cell towers, schools, emergency gas and electrical services, supply stores, damage assessments, etc. shall be given priority.
Please be patient for responses during this time.
