These service changes reflect the Greene County Transit Board’s planning efforts to reconfigure the service to levels that can be provided given current funding allocations. The plans were determined based on the analysis of ridership. In addition, the changes will address Greene CATS current driver shortage by reducing the total number of operating hours.
Greene CATS is making the following changes that will take effect on July 1, 2022:
- Scheduled Rides
- New Hours
- Monday-Friday, 6:00 am to 10:00 pm
- no weekend service
- Flex Routes
- New Hours
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for lines Blue, Green, Orange and Yellow
- Monday-Friday, 6:00 am to 10:00 am & 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm for Red line
- no weekend service
- Route frequency one hour and 15 minutes for runs/loops
- New time points on lines
- Blue Line to include Kroger in Fairborn
- Green Line to include Greene County Public Health
- Orange Line to begin and end at Xenia Towne Square Transfer Point
- Yellow Line to include Greene County Social Service Center

- Scheduled Rides:
- Adult (age 14 and up) $4 each way within Greene County
- Adult $8 each way to neighboring counties
- Child $1 each way
- Flex Routes:
- Adult $2 each way
- Child, Disabled, or Elderly $1 each way
- Flex Route Monthly Passes
- Adult $44
- Child, Disabled, or Elderly $22
- To obtain a Half Fare Assistance card for Flex Routes you must provide proof of age (65+) or permanent disability to Administrative Office.
