COVID-19 Courthouse Procedures
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
All persons entering the Domestic Relations Courthouse must wear a mask.
ATTENTION PARENTS
The Court has received numerous questions about how to exercise parenting time during the COVID-19 outbreak. Pursuant to Ohio Department of Health ’Stay at Home’ Order, parents should continue to exchange their children as required by their parenting plans or custody orders as this has been designated as "essential travel." Parents should adhere to all holiday and spring break schedules as designated by their schools at the beginning of the year regardless of recent changes.

Co-Parenting in COVID-19 Crisis
The Court's goals are achieved through:

- Maintaining an ideology that the Court is an entity striving to serve and the benefit the community's interest
Location and Hours
The courthouse is located at 595 Ledbetter Road, Xenia, OH 45385. The courthouse is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The courthouse is closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King Day
- President's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veteran's Day
- Thanksgiving/Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
Jurisdiction
The Greene County Domestic Relations Court (DR Court) has exclusive jurisdiction over bringing marriages to an end. This may be done by divorce, dissolution, or annulment. In addition, the Court has authority to enforce all of its orders, even after the marriage ends.
The DR Court also has jurisdiction over all matters involving custody, visitation, and support minor children of the marriage, unless they are already wards of another court (i.e. Juvenile Court Dependency/Neglect/Abuse cases). The Court also issues Civil Protection Orders (CPO).
The Greene County DR Court serves the communities of Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Fairborn, and Xenia.

Court Etiquette
Proper Dress
Patrons must wear appropriate attire at all times at the courthouse. Court staff may remove a patron who does not comply with the following guidelines:
- No shorts.
- No undershirts, tank tops, or halter tops may be worn without appropriate cover-up top.
- No clothing with swear words, depictions of violence or sexual acts, promotions of drug or alcohol use, or offensive language/themes.
- No cut-off jeans. Pants must fit at the waist. No sagging, baggy, or oversized pants.
- No oversized shirts.
- No micro-mini skirts. Skirts must reach and extend below the fingertip of the wearer while standing.
- No inappropriate head coverings such as bandanas, scarves, sweatbands, hats/caps, do-rags, or hairnets.
- No sleep-wear, athletic-wear, gym-wear, or beach-wear.
- Shoes must be worn at all times. No flip-flops or house shoes.
- No clothing that exposes a patron's shoulders, back, chest, midriff, or undergarments.
- Any other clothing deemed inappropriate by Court staff.
Exceptions may be made for patrons with health issues, patrons in uniform, or patrons experiencing an emergency.
Courthouse Entry & Security Information
All persons entering the Greene County Domestic Relations courthouse are required to pass through the Court's security checkpoint. Visitors will be subjected to a mandatory scan of their person, bags, and property.
Please allow extra time to pass through security before your scheduled court appearance. Long lines may result in delayed entry into the courthouse.
Timeliness
Be on time. If you are late, your case may be dismissed, and/or the other side may be allowed to present his/her case without you. If you are running late, please call the scheduler for the Judge or Magistrate before whom the hearing is scheduled.
In the Courtroom
Act professionally and courteously toward the Judge, Magistrate, other parties, and attorneys. If you are representing yourself, you are expected to be prepared and to present your case according to the rules of court.
If you are observing court proceedings or waiting for your case to be called, be respectful of the court. Enter and exit the room quickly and quietly. Eating and drinking are not permitted in the courtroom/hearing room. Observers with questions should wait for the court to recess to talk to the bailiff or scheduler.

Public Transportation
Greene CATS is a small, county public transportation system operated by the Greene County Transit Board. Greene CATS provides safe, reliable, and accessible public transportation for the residents of Greene County with special attention to those who are transportation disadvantaged in coordination with agencies, organizations, businesses, and local governments.
